FRA’s guiding principles are Loyalty, Protection and Service to our shipmates.
On 10 October of 2019, at our regularly scheduled meeting, the votes were counted. The members voted in favor of closing Branch 141. The results of that vote was submitted to the ECRP and National Executive Director.
The requests for transfer will be processed soon through the FRA Membership Department - These requests were asked of the Shipmates in the letter that was sent via Certified Mail when they cast their vote on whether to surrender the charter or keep the branch open. The BOD of Branch 141 has since been making arrangements to allocate the Branch Home assets IAW Section 1206 of the CB&L Rev 2/2016. Branch 141 Board of Directors is actively allocating and documenting all property and assets to other local VSO’s, Police, Fire, and EMS, nonprofit organizations, High Schools, Food banks etc. as directed in Section 1206 of the CB&L Rev 2/1016. As of this communication Branch 141 has accepted an offer for purchase of the Branch Home, contract has been signed and accepted. We anticipate the property closing will be in approximately one week. |
Saturday, March 22nd the branch home will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to Active Members of Branch 141 (Must show ID and be on Membership Roster) that may want to select any items of memorabilia. All items left will be surrendered with the sale of the branch home.
